hello people! 2012 is a pretty good year for me, eye opener and i will be talking about it.
i wont be saying what happened every month but the major points of the year.
firstly, this wasn't a decision made in 2012 but it definitely shaped my year, the decision to reject to be a facil for SB camp. I don't know what i was thinking back then as they asked me and i just rejected without much thinking. Friends that know me will pretty shocked, one vivid memory was when i told KK then he was like "what? so wasted!" he still tried to help me to get a facil place in SB camp that time after that but i think it was not meant to be. Oh i will talk about him again as i go on later. But that decision changed my whole 2012, as i went on to join as a facil under SPSU camp. To be honest, up till now i still find it abit ridiculous for the facils trainings to be held like few months prior to the camp, and the camp trainings were pretty tough. But ya i went on and continued to be a GP for the camp, SPSU camp is really unique as they have this family system that i don't see in other camps, which is one good thing about it i guess. Now what happened after that was to be even more of an important decision. Which is whether to be in the next excos for SPSU. To be honest i didn't expect myself to be ever to ponder for this decision, and i don't know why they were willing to support me to join. Because of this, it was a strange few weeks for me and Aaron which i don't really want to elaborate why. Anw, i came to a conclusion to join the excos and part of the reason is cause KK sort of encouraged me to join, i'm like following the path that he walked before and ended up in the excos well in a way. But ya he did play a big part for me to join. So i joined without the hassle of an election, and got the position of Corporate Coordinator together with Amanda. I didn't get to know who she is at first, so we were like complete strangers when we assigned to the department, and although till now, i still don't really know her but ya can see she is responsible person. And soon after we have our stand comm. The pic here is the pic of all the excos!
Oh i was introduced into the council and we on a trip to telunas, i never hear before that place, but its really a nice place to relax a few days or so. During these few days i got to know some of the council people, really a great bunch of people, but yea i can see actually there a lot of cliques in the council which is not really good.
i wont really describe what i did at telunas cause is pretty much what i did for LEAP camp last year, but i had a good time there, a much needed getaway. And here are some pics!
oh and we also did a council event, RUNNING MAN! with name tags! its really a fun event especially at the end when the ripping of name tags start, hectic and tiring but its fun! A quick shoutout to my grp Yellow! The pic of the running man is not my group but just a random shot!
Now that is all the fun part, but i'm seriously considering whether to continue to be in the SPSU excos ont, not that is not fun, that's not it, but i feel bad for Amanda cause she is doing all the work for the department and that truth to be told, i feel quite left out in the excos which is why you won't see me in the clubroom that often.... In a dilemma oh well....
okay i guess is enough about SPSU. At around end april- early may, i can't really remember the dates, but my class and 02 went on immersion trip to johor one of the resort and i cant remember the name of it as well. But ya, at the start me and my class ppl were talking like oh crap we dont know any 02 people, don't know how are they like, but it turns out our worries were not needed at all. They are a pretty crazy bunch i guess, not as crazy as my class but ya a fun batch, the trip would not be fun without them!
We did on sight excursions to the hotel departments, restaurants and etc. We even did a role play in the restaurant to test out the service standard of 02! Me and fabian were acting as North Koreans, Aaron, jun wei, martin and ryan acted as South Koreans, and i think you can guess what happened, we acted like we argued, we even smacked the tables and all and left the 02 speechless as they totally didn't prepare for that. After that, my class and 02 did our performances for the dinner on the last day! hahhaha my class danced fantastic baby and roly poly, got videos in my fb if you didnt see it!
Yup overall, is a fun and enjoyable trip!
hmmm this are pretty much the major events that happened in my 2012! its a year i will not forget, meeting all the new people, making new friends, got exposed to how the council, SPSU work. I just hope 2013 will be an even better year! I will not be making any new year resolutions or what as i think that you don't have to wait till the new year to make, you can actually make any time. Sad thing is i think i'm spending the countdown at home this year! no choice everyone around me all attached one, left me this single emo person HAHA joking! woohoo such a long post!
